Emergency Contacts is a national emergency information resource for individuals, families and rescue personnel. Founded to ease the anxiety and uncertainty that can arise in emergency situations, Emergency Contacts helps to put the personal emergency plans of our members into action when accidents or emergencies occur.
This Privacy Statement describes how we collect, use and share personal and contact information that Emergency Contacts obtains in connection with the member services provided in the United States. These privacy practices apply to past, current, and potential future customers.
Collection of Information
Emergency Contacts collects personal information about you and your contacts in order to provide member services. The personal information we collect includes: contact information (such as name, mailing address, email address, phone number); credit card and billing information (such as cardholder name, card number, services or items purchased); and other personal information that helps us to reach contacts and provide vital medical information in an emergency situation. We collect personal information when members subscribe through the Emergency Contacts web site.

Emergency Contacts will use your information to (i) provide and improve member services, (ii) enforce the Emergency Contacts Terms and Conditions, (iii) prevent fraud and respond to regulatory and legal requirements and valid court orders, (iv) protect the rights, property or safety of you, Emergency Contacts, or the public, (v) offer you new products and services and (vi) perform market research for our own purposes. The Emergency Contacts Website
You may use Emergency Contacts' website to learn about our member services without disclosing any personal information. Membership requires that you provide us with information such as your name, address, e-mail address, etc. to start or renew your membership or to purchase additional services or items. At their discretion, members provide personal information about other people to be included on the membership as well as contact information for the persons to be contacted in the event of an emergency for use by Emergency Contacts to provide service. Members may opt to be excluded from from newsletters and/or marketing services at any time by checking that account option after signing in.

Emergency Contacts may place calls connected using a wireless network operated by a wireless service provider. Although it is illegal for unauthorized people to intercept calls, such interceptions of wireless communications can occur.
